Locomotive with Tender Mechanical 3D Wooden Puzzle Model Kit from UGears - UTG0011

Bring your own steam engine to life with a UGears Locomotive with Tender train model kit. Made of high-quality wooden parts that are precision machined to fit together perfectly, this kit will delight history buffs and amateur engineers alike. The UGears Locomotive is designed to replicate the operation of a full-size steam engine pulling a coal car, or tender. A rubber band and gear system are used to represent the valves and pistons that drive real steam locomotives, while the unique design allows you to get a close-up view of the locomotive’s drive wheels in action using a miniaturized linkage of rods and cranks.

These 3D, laser-cut wooden kits are designed to be assembled without glue to allow them to move freely. They are fun and educational to assemble, and each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions. You can even choose to ditch the instructions and put them together like a puzzle! The steam locomotive model kit moves along a track or can be displayed as a beautiful decorative item in its own right.

I ended up breaking some of the tiny pieces while trying to install it because they were tiny and hard to install. Other than that this is an excellent product.
